The title in the interior design book “Stylish Living” in which this villa was lavishly discussed with text and images, is one of Marcottestyle’s first major realizations. This contemporary villa was transformed into a country cocoon style. This was a real challenge for Marcottestyle. To transform a chilly new construction villa in Luxembourg into a cozy cottage villa.
The dining area and parlor are part of the living room where a fireplace was placed in the middle.
The kitchen: Most elements were retained to serve the cost slightly back. Thus, the interior decorator converted the kitchen by installing only new panels in cottage style. The color of the lounge can now also be found in the open kitchen and the lounge and kitchen have become one. Yet some new small cabinets and a cornice give the impression of a totally new kitchen. The kitchen table was made in the same solid oak as the bar between the kitchen and the living room. From there, the line continued into the dining area, which received the same table in solid white oak.
A sense of unity is really a worthy delight because of this. All the walls received beautifully finished paneling, and the slightly too sleek, almost modern fireplace received a warm sheathing in wood.
All the colors were matched and so the dark taupe – eggplant color was applied above the paneling to contrast with the ceiling. The paneling itself was given a lighter color in similar range of shades. Through customization, even the smallest details were matched. For example, the interior design specialist was able to conceal all the music and Tv installation in a custom-made piece of furniture. The villa was then also dressed up a bit, not only with our collection of furniture but also with our decoration items, which really gave the villa a sudden revival. By tackling the redecoration according to the rules of art, this former chilly villa, now feels warm and affectionate, which will now appeal and inspire many. The interior has taken on a cosy feel that wraps around it like a warm blanket.
